Recovery Starts with a Positive Mind-Body Connection

Our neuro-rehabilitative program embraces a progressive and objective way of assessing and treating mental health and substance use disorders.

We focus on a fundamental component of recovery that is usually missing in traditional treatment programs—healthy brain functioning. This includes the rejuvenation of neurons, neurotransmitters, and certain brain waves to restore natural homeostasis within these systems.

According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics (NCDAS), more than 20 million people aged 12+ suffer from a substance use disorder—and 50% of this population also has a diagnosable mental illness. We have a crisis on our hands. And now, more than ever, we need an effective treatment approach.

At VCAT Treatment Center, we firmly believe that by improving brain activities, we can better treat substance and alcohol addiction, dual diagnosis, mood disorders, traumatic brain injury (TBI), PTSD, ADHD, foggy brain, eating disorders, epilepsy & seizures, sleep disorders, and cognitive functioning.

Neuro-Psychological Assessment

Did you know that around 9.5 million adults in the U.S. have both a mental illness and a substance use disorder? Yet it’s estimated that only 9.1% of them receive both addiction treatment and mental health care.

The relationship between mental illness and addiction is complex. It requires intuitive clinical intervention—starting with a comprehensive and accurate assessment. VCAT Treatment Center believes that every person with a neural illness or addiction is different, and the underlying reasons behind their disorder must be accurately identified and adequately addressed for effective treatment.

As we learn more about the brain—and how it’s affected by mental illness and addiction—we continue to find better ways to diagnose and monitor treatment progress.

Neuro Psychological Assessment
brain imaging

Mental health and addiction treatment at VCATTRC starts with in-depth interview questions followed by a rigorous neuro-psychological assessment. This helps us accurately identify any underlying co-occurring conditions and patterns around a client’s behaviors and cognitive functioning.

Under the guidance of Dr. Nader Siahdohoni, our Psychological Assessment Center uses state-of-the-art assessment techniques such as quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG). qEEG is a brain-imaging technology we use to get a complete picture of dysregulated brain activity due to mental disorders and addiction.

Feedback from the evaluations gives our highly trained clinical team vital information that allows them to design an individualized treatment plan to combat specific addiction-related dysfunction.

Our psychological and neuropsychological assessments are available for children, adolescents, and adults.

Detox

VCAT Treatment Center facilitates detox to rid the body of alcohol or drugs while managing withdrawal symptoms that accompany quitting drugs.

Along with accurate assessment, detox is typically the first step toward long-lasting sobriety. It’s a crucial process in breaking the chains of a substance use disorder.

We understand that many people are concerned about distressing, painful, or even life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. For this reason, we are committed to making the detox experience as comfortable and safe as possible.

We make sure you’re well taken care of by qualified medical professionals. This ensures a client is physically stable and ready to take strides in their recovery journey.

Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

At VCAT Treatment Center, we stay on the cutting edge of treating mental illness and addiction by using an integrated clinical and psychiatric approach.

Our methodologies are results-driven and goal-oriented. We do not rely on “guesswork” when addressing the root cause of your mental health and/or substance use disorder. Our focus is on what is actually happening in your brain. As such, the neuro-rehabilitative services at VCAT Treatment are designed to improve dysregulated brain functioning.

We combine behavior-based therapies with modern-day diagnostics to capture irregular brain activity. We then use a combination of neuro-stimulation and behavioral therapies to combat the neural dysfunction created by addiction so your brain can recover its optimal functioning.

mental health treatment

The VCAT Treatment Center uses real-time brain mapping to measure, record, and analyze the electrical activity within the brain. This is accompanied by neuro-stimulation therapies such as VCAT-Neurostimulator Therapy, which combines noninvasive and nonelectric induced Infrared Light Therapy (NIR-PBM), Neuropathway Therapy (VCAT), and Magnetic Field Therapy (TMS) to create a powerful triple action treatment methodology.

Our VCAT Neurotherapy approach optimizes brainwave patterns, increases cognitive abilities, influences the firing rate of neurons, and increases oxygenated blood flow through the brain for improved brain plasticity. The treatment assumes that the brain has the capacity to self-train itself and compute the principles of VCAT on its own in real life to address psychological disorders and drug addiction.

Outpatient Program

VCAT Treatment Center offers an outpatient program for mental health and addiction recovery. This gives you an opportunity to get specialized treatment with minimal disruption to your daily life. It also helps establish a solid support network—with the comfort of family/friends at home or work and the support of people you interact with during therapy sessions.

Our outpatient mental health and addiction treatment program consists of group and individual sessions. They may range from 1-8 hours of therapeutic services every week, depending on your unique needs.
